Get Installation Package

You can get the official Bubble Chat Android installation package through:

Some phones may show a risk warning because the installation source is not an app store. Select "Understood the risk, continue to install".
For Huawei/Honor phones, a red exclamation mark may appear on the app icon after installation. Go to: Settings >> Security >> App Control Center, and remove Bubble from the control list. Return to the home screen to confirm the red exclamation mark has disappeared.

Note: Installing offline can avoid the above issues.

Register FCM service, modify system settings for offline push

Due to third-party manufacturer restrictions, Android currently cannot provide consistent push notification services. Bubble uses Google's FCM service to push offline messages, which requires at least the following 3 conditions:

Android device has Google GMS basic services installed.
App successfully accesses FCM center and completes device registration.
Notification permission and auto-start switches are enabled.

Follow these steps to meet the above 3 conditions (Steps 1 and 2 require VPN access to Google services):

Install GMS services on device:
- International or GMS pre-installed devices: Settings >> Apps & Services >> App Management, search for "Google Services Framework" to confirm installation.
- Chinese brand devices: Settings >> Users & Accounts >> Google Basic Services Management, confirm the service switch is on.
Install microG (Huawei/Honor devices only):

Launch Bubble and complete registration/login (keep VPN connected):
Go to: Settings >> Apps & Services >> App Management >> microG Services >> microG Settings >> Google Cloud Messaging, confirm Bubble is in the list.
Allow auto-start and background activity:
Settings >> Battery >> App Launch Management, find Bubble, enable "Allow auto-start" and "Background activity".
Enable notification permission:
Settings >> Notifications & Status Bar >> Notification Management, find Bubble, allow notifications and enable banner and badge alerts.

Finally, keep your account logged in, kill the Bubble app process, and test offline push notifications.
